Welcome to my site

The only job I have ever imagined for myself was a reporter. For me, journalism is the opportunity to expose the truth to the public and to tell a story to an audience. I have always believed that the press is the watchdog of government. And I aspire to be a part of that community of people who uncover injustices, cover events, and make sure the government is doing their job. 

To achieve this dream, I began my journey at Marquette University in the fall of 2010. As a junior journalism major, I realize I have a far way to go. However, with this blog and my job as a news reporter at the Marquette Tribune, I intend to develop my writing as much as possible.

For me, this blog is not just an opportunity to showcase my writing - but an opportunity to learn and grow. So please, feel free to comment or contact me. Constructive criticism and feedback is essential to my progress as a journalist.
